About the Books:

Historic Fiction
2013 / 2015

Book One (Wealth & Privilege)

Boy meets girl, falls in love at first sight. Oops, she's already married. Bad planning. She becomes a friend and a muse, helps him find his voice. He knows that no one gets to capture their own muse, but he can dream, can't he...?

Book Two (Brains & Beauty)

Girl meets boy, falls in love at first sight. Kind of unfortunate for a married woman. He becomes her best friend, the only man in her life that she can really count on. She wishes there could be more to it. There can't be, but she can dream, can't she...?

Teatime and Books Review:

I read both books and was amazed by both for their historical accuracy. I grew up not far from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and am very familiar with the city as well as its history and can say these books were well researched. The characters were well developed and one couldn’t help but feel a sorrow for both the Heroine and Hero as they truly wanted to love one another but circumstances in their lives prevented them from expressing and engaging in that love. Our hero, Thomas was trapped in a marriage by a very selfish Meredith who wanted him only for his money. She and her mother created a scheme to trap her and Thomas in a most embarrassing and compromising situation in the eyes of society therefore leaving Thomas with the only solution but to marry her. However, he knew her scheme and expressed that to her on their wedding day and made it known to Meredith that he did not love her and would not engage in the marital act of love. Instead he developed a most deep and quite intimate friendship with our Heroine, Regina Waring who is unfortunately married and not happily either. She too feels her heart drawn to Thomas but alas she can’t give it. Both engage in a deep and cherished friendship.
These books take one through the historical happenings of the time and the characters are well developed and well rounded. Only thing is they end pretty abruptly rather coming to a true conclusion. Otherwise, wonderful stories!
